Litera Unveils Major Innovations in Legal Tech Ahead of ILTACON

In a strategic prelude to the International Legal Technology Association's annual convention, Litera has announced a series of significant product launches and updates, asserting its ambition to revolutionize legal workflows comprehensively. This initiative is part of their "Road to ILTACON" series, designed to spotlight their innovations before the bustling activity of the convention itself.

Among the standout enhancements is a transformative upgrade to Kira, a favored tool among contract review experts, now equipped with a "Generative Smart Fields" feature. This addition embeds a sophisticated suite of artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling users to create custom smart fields without coding, significantly broadening the tool's application beyond its original 1400 fields. This AI enhancement is designed to identify legal concepts across documents using a single example, streamlining the review process while a new tabular layout offers a clearer view of document risks and trends.

Litera also introduced Lito, a new AI agent integrated into the Litera One platform. Described whimsically as a “virtual team member,” Lito aligns capabilities with user intent, facilitating smarter, data-driven outcomes. This AI agent features capabilities such as real-time document interaction, a dynamic grid for document analysis, and advanced comparison tools that handle various formats and complexities, enhancing operational efficiency in legal workflows.

Further enriching their suite, Litera has announced enhancements to Litera Draft with a new beta product named Precedent. This tool leverages AI to refine document quality by discovering superior precedent language and relevant deal insights, empowering lawyers with data-driven authority in negotiations. Additionally, the integration with Peppermint’s offerings aims to streamline operation by eliminating the need for toggling between contexts.

Another significant upgrade is the cloud availability of Clean (formerly Metadact), a tool essential for one-click metadata cleanup to secure sensitive information—a timely solution in an era where data breaches are all too common.

With these announcements, Litera is not just enhancing its product offerings but is also setting a new benchmark for legal technology solutions. As the ILTACON approaches, the legal community eagerly anticipates further innovations that Litera may unveil, continuing its trajectory towards comprehensive workflow domination. Stay tuned for more updates on this front as Litera continues to push the envelope in legal tech advancements.
